Here are the directions: Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, south of Rock Hall, Kent CO, MD. Southern part of island, in the cleared field (previously planted with soybean?) on the west side of Highway 445, between the 2 southern-most 90 degree turns in the road (approximately .75 miles from Wicke's historic site). Here's another extract from his report: Mostly sunny, approximately 11:00 AM. Viewed from approx. 50 yards. Viewing from the Southeast with the sun behind me. The bird stayed in view for about 15 minutes, giving me very good views or front, back and sides. Finally chased off when a flock of blackbirds flew in. An excellent MD bird, but not "reviewable" by the records committee. Good luck if you chase it.
