Behind Chaney's Restaurant, there was a large flock of Canbasback and a large flock of Ruddy Ducks. Among them were smaller numbers of Buffleheads, Scaup, and a few Horned Grebes. Also, I saw a Red Necked Grebe about 100 feet off-shore. The really noticable field marks for the grebe were its large size (much larger than the Horned Grebes and most of the ducks), its long neck, and its heavy bill. Further north along the boardwalk I got good looks at a beautiful Long Tailed Duck, plus more Horned Grebes, Scaup, Buffleheads, and Canbasback.
