All the expected winter residents. GOLDEN-CROWN KINGLETS and YELLOW-RUMPS in abundance. A couple FOX SPARROWS by the iron bridge power line cut. BROWN CREEPERS all through the woods. Along the baseball field I found a WINTER WREN and 50 GOLDFINCH eating weed seeds. A flock of BLUEBIRDS were hanging around their usual nesting area. PILEATED WOODPECKERS were hammering away at the dead trees. A pair of RED-SHOULDERS appeared to be starting courtship. Won't be long now!
