However, out at lunch in front of the Castle today, I saw an immature Cooper's Hawk being harassed by an American Kestrel. The Cooper's Hawk finally decided to rest, and allowing a fairly close approach before she (I think) decided to fly off elsewhere in search of lunch. As usual, the Mall public seemed ignorant of the drama immediately overhead!
