I've found some interesting birds there recently and sparrows seem to especially like the small overgrown field and hedgerow. Today I saw dozens of White- Throated Sparrows, 8 Song Sparrows, 1 Field Sparrow, 3 Fox Sparrows, 15+ House Sparrows, and perhaps a Chipping Sparrow (I caught a brief glimpse of what I thought was a reddish-brown cap and bright white eye-lines). Nearby the field, I got great looks at a Kestrel flying and than landing on a nearby house. Also present were many Cardinals and 3 Eastern Towhees. Along the pond were many Canada Geese and Mallards near the patches of open water, plus a Swamp Sparrow.
