My own experiences are minimal on Long-ears but interesting. One mid-winter count someone in my territory found L-E owl(s). They (it) were in a TINY patch of conifers smack dab in the middle of suburbia. The property was next to power lines but right next to a school. There were tracks through the snow in the pine stand that indicated people walked through it all the time. A also found a L-E at centennial park. I heard a loud commotion of mobbing and crawled through some thickets to see what was up, I came face to face (literally!) with a LE!
