In the afternoon I went for a short walk around our bird trails and found = 2 Fox Sparrows, about 15-20 Field Sparrows, 10 White-throated, and about a = dozen Songs. Following this sparrow success, I checked out the pond by = the ballfields to find the White-crowned Sparrows that have been there all = winter. Found 2 immature white-crowned plus more white-throated.=20 I've seen Chipping Sparrows here most of the winter, but didn't see any = today. Only other bird of note was a Great-blue Heron standing on the ice at one = of the frozen ponds.
