You can look up individual counts and participants, or look up individual species and compare them with other counts in Maryland (or any state). It's very easy to see how well you and your particular count did against other counts, with regard to individual species. I logged on briefly this morning and found that the Triadelphia CBC (held on Dec. 16, 2000) had the high number of the following species for the entire state. Bear in mind that not all counts in Maryland have uploaded their data, and so this is just preliminary: Common Merganser Red-breasted Nuthatch Harris's Sparrow White-crowned Sparrow Brewer's Blackbird Dickcissel The web-site can be found at: http://www.birdsource.org I'm sure that as soon as Sugarloaf and Seneca counts are finalized and uploaded we will see some interesting birds listed. Seneca has traditionally had the high number (for the entire country!) of many woodpecker species, so watch for their data. The Sugarloaf count had Snowy Owl, Harlequin Duck and Loggerhead Shrike on count day!
