How else to explain that after spending an entire day at Black Hills and then up at New Design Road, we saw neither the Harly nor the Snowy? :( Not even the Longspurs, which aren't on our life lists yet. We cruised around the Buckeysville area from around 3PM until sometime after 5PM but not a glimpse of our Arctic friend. We did see some of the bluest bluebirds ever over at the tree farm, and found one snow bunting amidst the larks, and warned a handful of newcomers away from the Crawford's ... they now have an OH-so-friendly orange bumpersticker up on their fence that suggests they'll take their squirrel gun out on any trespassers.
