Maybe it went to Delaware. :-) - Shireen Baltimore ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the DE birdlist: Date: Sun, 4 Feb 2001 20:20:11 -0500 From: Robert Lego Reply-To: Discussion of Delaware Birding To: DE-BIRDS@LIST.AUDUBON.ORG Hi everyone. I found a snowy owl today off Port Mahon Rd. at about 4:45 PM. Between the second and third utility pole past the fishing pier, there's an opening in the phragmites on the left. Walk through the opening and you have a good good view of a few large piles of dirt and debris about 75 yards from the road. The snowy owl was perched on one of these piles. The black in it's plumage was pretty extensive. There were also a couple of short-eared owls flying around near the tank farm. Nice sunset. Bob Lego 711 N.
