Watching Common Goldeneyes displaying in preparation for the upcoming breeding season was a first for me. There were quite a few large rafts of birds too distant for me to identify, but within easy range were HORNED GREBES, TUNDRA SWANS, CANVASBACKS, REDHEADS, GREATER SCAUP, SURF SCOTERS, LONG-TAILED DUCKS, BUFFLEHEADS, COMMON GOLDENEYES, RUDDY DUCKS, and AMERICAN COOTS.
