County Comments: cc: voice@capaccess.org Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Hi, Did anyone else notice a movement of robins this morning? There have been a lot of Robins in the Centerville/Manassas area during the last few weeks, but this is the largest congregation I've found all winter near my home or my office. This morning at 7 am. when I stepped outside to go to work I heard a robin singing. Fine, great, it _is_ February, with a warm spell on the way, and I have already seen the species from my yard this year. To my amazement I realized that a dozen American Robins were in the tree across the street, with more arriving, and others passing over without putting down. Some 40 to 45 took off and headed northeast all at once. By the time I reached the car one minute later, I could hear new robins that had arrived in the interim. Lisa later saw three from the kitchen while she was washing dishes.
