Commen goldenye have been in abundance for the last couple weeks outside my home which is a couple minutes from the horseheads wetland center. Yesterday there were over a hundred in Prospect Bay, a small bay inlet from the Cheasapeake. Along with the goldenye today Red-breasted mergansers 2 male 2 feamale were in a small group only about 20 feet off the shore. It was an interesting sight to see one male duck attack another male duck. His Head constantly bobbing up and down.
