We looked for over an hour in the area where it was = seen on Sunday, but no Sandhill Crane. However, there are lot of places = it could have been that were out of our view. We did get a beautiful = look a mature Bald Eagle and Red Tailed Hawk that circled very close. = Had both in the binoculars at the same time. Saw flocks of Cedar = Waxwings and Robins. Lots of sparrows, one immature White Crowned = Sparrow in full view--beautiful, Woodpeckers, and other hedge and = woodland birds. =20 Went to Grasonville to see the Trumpeter Swans. We did find them = after following the directions given us by the lady at the Nature = Center. Originally there were four of these immature swans that were = brought to the area with the hope of establishing Swans that have = imprinted the flight path and would migrate on a regular basis. One was = killed by a pellet. People must feed the Swans as when a pickup truck = from the sanctuary drove up, they immediately swam toward it. They were = lovely. =20 Ben Poscover Towson MD bposcove@bcpl.net -------------------------------------------------------------------------= ------- ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
