Here are the = highlights. On Friday, I stopped on Kent Island and found the Sandhill Crane. The = crane was by itself in a wet area of a corn field. I was able to find one of the Clay-colored Sparrows at Vaughn. As = Marshall described, it was with Field Sparrows on the field to the right = as you enter the area. The clay-colored perched on a branch an afforded = me with great views. The fields were full of sparrows. No luck with = finding the Le Conte's, but I new I would have to be lucky on that = one. Thanks Marshall, Dotty and Sue for finding and posting. At Irish Grove, there was one sharp-tailed sparrow species in the marsh, = but never gave me a chance to identify. On a side note, the gate to the = residence was open. During the several hours I was in the area I did not = see anyone. I closed the gate, but I did not know who to call. Along Elliott Island road there was one Rough-legged Hawk. Good trip, though a little windy.
