The immature Black-headed Gull was at Indian River Inlet on Sundaythe 18th. It was at the beginning of the Burton's Island Trail. Wewatched it from the footbridge as it worked from there out to RehobothBay and back. Frequently it sat on the water in the channel and woulddisappear from view in the guts along the edge. The female Tufted Duck was on the pond at Spring Lake on Monday the19th. It was with about 100 Canvasbacks and was easy to pick out evenwith its bill tucked. Back in Maryland, on Sunday we watched the evening flight at DealIsland WMA which included 12 Tricolored Herons, 1 Snowy Egret, and 2Glossy Ibis.
