Schwarz" Subject: HowCo Red-breaster Merg, Pintails, Tundra Swans At 1420 today, Centennial Park in Howard County hosted a male Red-breasted Merganser. Bird was in view for 10 minutes between the dam and boat ramp. I then lost track of it while fooling with a phone. Hopefully it's still present. Park closes at 1730. From Brighton Dam, Tridelphia Reservoir at 1330 today the following could be seen Common Merganser 130+ N. Pintail 14 Tundra Swan 4 (2 imm.) Canada Goose 100 (I didn't really count) Herring Gull 5 Bald Eagle 1 (ad.) The eagle only stayed in view about 10 minutes. The Big Branch area of Tridelphia, which isn't actually open to the public, but you CAN view a fairly large area of water from the parking area, held a pair of Hooded Mergs at about 1300. Quite a few Hooded Mergs were at Centenial yesterday, and my cursory glance today yielded at least 3-4.
