The was a single CANVASBACK drake on the airport (west) side of Hains Point, but no other ducks. Anacostia Wetlands had lots of water (a tribute to the truly impermeable soil there), and about 20 MALLARD and a single GADWALL. Should be good for Snipe when they come in a month from now or thereabouts. No unusual gulls on the Anacostia River. Mike Bowen D.H.
