MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I took a drive down my favorite gravel/dirt road today about 3:45 and spotted a lone Horned Lark, walking along the side of the road. I stopped the car to watch him and he cooperated by strutting around, back and forth in front of me, and up and down the roadside. He flew over into the adjacent field and conveniently landed right by an orange survey flag, making it easy to keep an eye on him. He then again came closer and I got excellent looks at him. I wish I had my camera! This road in Carroll county always offers up some little tidbit when it comes to nature. There were also 2 Red-tailed Hawks displaying. Good birding.
