From Annapolis, take Rt. 50 to Salisbury, then take Rt. 12 south to Snow Hill. From Rt. 12 (south of Snow Hill) Vaughn can be accessed at three points. Vaughn north is reached by taking Taylor's Landing Road east from Girdletree. Bear right at the two intersections (outside of town). At the second side for Vaughn on the right (south), turn right and park when you get to the top of the hill. Some nice waterfowl ponds are visible to the south. Vaughn central is reached from a dirt road running east from Vaughn, about 1 mile south of Girdletree. Drive the road to the end. From the gate go east and explore. The parking lot for the South section is on the east side of Rt. 12, just (about 1 mile or so) north of Stockton. There is a sign. Park here and follow the main road in, bearing to the left (north). It is a big area that very few birder now about.
