Highlights of my morning were a Common Merganser, 1 female and 2 male Hooded Mergansers, a pair of Canvasbacks, a Northern Flicker, perched at eye level a couple of feet away from me, a Pileated Woodpecker, a couple of keeeyrieng Red shouldered Hawks flying quite low, then watching them perch nicely. I suppose they were staking out their brunch. But the best part of my morning was being entertained by about 20 or so Cedar Waxwings who were dancing and fluttering around and munching on berries on a berry bush 5 ft away from me at eye level ! A few of them were fluttering in mid air w/o moving. I've never seen them sooo close and so wonderfully animated ! Real show stoppers, they were !! :)..... talk about a good OMEN ! ;) Carol Garza Columbia, Md cgarza@starpower.net ======================== To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================== ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
