I was very anxious for the trip because it will be my first field trip with other birders. And maybe they can find birds better than me because I just went to the lake last Mon. but didn't see too much other than 9 ring-necked ducks, 1 canvasback, and 2 coots. I'll admit that they were the first coots I've seen in about 2 years. Mallards, Canada geese, and ring-billed gulls don't count too much, do they? I saw plenty of them over there too.
