It appeared to me to more resemble the male in Sibley--orange underparts with white only on lower belly/flanks and light orange in the median covert, rather than white. Can't get a good enough view of the scapulars to differentiate. But looking at NG guide, young male appears to have no white on belly--if I can read correctly?? Maybe I just have not seen enough of either youngsters--and especially as spring approaches (we hope!) Sorry we missed your visit--but glad the bird was home!! Carol "George M.
