At Constitution Gardens there was a large flock of American Robins, with Song Sparrows and Dark-eyed Juncos. The juncos were singing. In the pond were a couple of American Widgeons, along with the usual Canada Geese, domestic ducks and Ring-billed Gulls. In the Tidal basin were more Ring-billed Gulls, some Herring Gulls, a few Greater Black-backed Gulls, and 3 male Red-breasted Mergansers. At the top of the Washington Channel were a few Black-crowned Night Herons, along with a Pied-billed Grebe and more gulls. Nothing stunning, but apparently birds are starting to move around.
