One sighting, that made me most skeptical, was about a group of a couple dozen Barrow's Goldeneyes near the Cambridge bridge. After questioning the observer, he said that he personally had seen 2 male Barrow's along with a larger Common Goldeneye flock. He described them pretty well. It would be nice if others were able to relocate these birds before the duck flocks start to head north. This person saw the Barrow's Goldeneye at Pax River a few years ago and, not being familiar with the species in Maryland, assumed that they were regular but rare winter birds here.
