It was calling (the low buzzy trill) from the small bare sapling on the dam. A HERMIT THRUSH perched in the top of a small tree picking over what looked like very dried bittersweet berries. On the water- 3 GREEN WING TEAL, 1 HORNED GREBE, 1 BUFFLEHEAD, 1 LESSER SCAUP, 30 RING-NECKED DUCKS, 5 HOODED MERGANSERS.
