There were very few birds and the highlight was the first Osprey of the season. Above the dam we had twenty Bonaparte's Gulls and in the Pennsylvania sectioon of the river, just down from peach Bottom, an Eared Grebe. Perryville had a ton of ducks, including 500 Bufflehead, 200 Common Goldeneye, several thousand scaup, and two Mute Swans. On Saturday night I had twelve flocks of Tundra Swans flying over between 11:30 and 11:50 p.m. On Friday, Brian and I had a pair od Redheads in the Tood Lakes ponds on Wheel Road, along with twenty Ring-necked Ducks. Rick I love being a writer. What I can't stand is the paperwork. -- Peter de Vries Rick Blom rblom@blazie.com 4318 Cowan Place Belcamp, Maryland 21017 (410)575-6086 Editor: BWD Skimmer (www.birdwatchersdigest.com) ========================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ========================================================================= ===========================================================================
