At the visitors center, on the list of recorded sightings was a SMEW!! These a very rare. The was two sitings, one a few days back, and one from yesterday. It was said to be located at the Bear Swamp area, but we were not able to find the bird. It must have been to windy. Just thought that you might be interested to hear about the Smew. We also saw a large group, 20+ of Ring-necked Ducks in Bear Swamp. Also strange was a beautiful view of a Glossy Ibis We saw 40 species total. Crow Carolina Chickadee. Tufted Titmouse Eastern Bluebird Am. Robin Mockingbird Starling Am.
