A good variety of waterfowk were still present: Pied-billed Grebe - 1 Canada Geese - at least 40 Wood Duck - 2 (on the Potomoc River) Am. Black Duck - 2 (on the Potomoc) Mallard - 2 American Wigeon - 4 Ring-necked Duck - 3 Hooded Merganser - 15 Ruddy Duck - 3 American Coot - 13 Common Goldeneye - 1 Common Merganser - 5 The mud flats at the far (west) end look as though they might attract some shorebird migrants during migration, especially if the water level falls a bit and more shoreline is exposed.
