In the open, grassy area of the actual landfill I saw: 145 American Robins 10 Flickers (which were in a grassy/brushy area near some robins and flushed with them) 4 Double Crested Cormorants (flyover) 5 Canada Geese 1 Merlin (excellent looks as the bird perched in a tree!) In the second growth pine woods across the entrance road I saw: 1 Coopers Hawk 3 Tufted Titmouse 5 Common Grackles 4 Crows (but no Barred Owl) 3 Cardinals And, right at MD 450, I saw 4 Black Vultures perched in trees surrounding the entranceway.
