I have been to Cape May a few times, in the fall, so I know about the most famous spots and I am sure you and your students know about them too from your experience last year. I hope you have read them (or had them read) Pete Dunne's chapter on the WSOB in "The Feather Quest". Of course he covered all of New Jersey, not just Cape May County. I just want to wish you all a lot of luck. I also want to thank you individually, Jim, for introducing your students to birds. They are such an important part of the "spiritual" or "esthetic" experience in the outdoors. It is only recently that I have been looking at my distribution maps with a world-wide ecological slant. There are so many birds that winter here and breed in the far north. Those birds are the reason we should encourage the Bush Administration to abandon their plans for oil drilling in the Arctic NWR. You have a chance to teach your students about this at an early impressionable age. Thanks for all your efforts, whether political or "spiritual" or "esthetic" or scientific or whatever! S.
