There was a woeful lack of lbj's and SONGS and WHITE-THROATS = were all we could find. We did find our first GREEN HERON along the = shoreline of the last pond (behind the sound barriers). The poor fellow = looked exhausted and we were careful not to get close and spook him. = There was a lovely pair of WOOD DUCKS swimming together and the male = made soft whistling notes to the female. 3 pairs of CANADA GEESE on = nests. A pair each of RED-TAILS and RED-SHOULDERS but no evidnece of = their nests. A single KESTREL perched along the road. A group of 12 = COMMON FLICKERS and a single NORTHERN-ROUGH WING SWALLOW were passing = through. Up on the hillside- a BLUEBIRD that just took your breath away. =20 Bonnie Ott Ellicott city,Howard County Field trip chair bott@erols.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
