Then I decided to walk around Lake Kittamaqundi to see if anything would turn up. I strolled around the lake yesterday and saw my years first Pied-billed Grebes. I saw a male Wood Duck. Years first. Then as I was walking down the trail I was thinking how Caspian Terns should be here soon. As I looked at a group of Ring-billed Gulls standing at the other side of the lake I did see two of those terns standing in the middle. The best thing I saw was a female Eastern Bluebird. That was not only the first one of the year, but the first time I had ever seen one here in Columbia.
