They were flying above a wetland and below the low cloud cover. Pine and Palm Warblers were present as was Coopers Hawk, Red- Shouldered Hawk and Barred Owl, all of which were vocalizing. Several members of the Great Blue Heron colony were collecting branches from trees and off the ground. It was very strange seeing the herons break sticks from trees as they balanced and as if dancing on a limb. The sound of the colony was almost eerie in the mist and low light conditions. A pair Pied-billed Grebes in ponds swimming together. Considering it rained off an on all morning form 7 to 11 am, I saw and heard plenty of birds.
