ROUGH-WINGED and BARN) 2 BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS 3 (yellow) PALM WARBLERS 6 CHIPPING SPARROWS near the headquarters building at least 10 N. FLICKERS 1 RED-SHOULDERED HAWK 1 SHARP-SHINNED HAWK 1 GRAY CATBIRD 1 BROWN THRASHER (singing from across the river in the Nat. Arboretum) 2 E. TOWHEES and in Anacostia Park there were 1 CASPIAN TERN 1 EASTERN KINGBIRD (my first of the year round here) 8 COMMON SNIPE in the "wetlands" area Mike Bowen Bethesda MD D.H.
