<DIV>Went out this morning (before the heavy stuff fell) near the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater Md.&nbsp; Had a few good birds to meet me.&nbsp; A couple of singing Ovenbirds, which did come into view nicely.&nbsp; A few Louisiana Waterthrushes singing aloud, one of which perched not too far away&nbsp;showing off&nbsp;the rump.&nbsp;&nbsp; Also had a nice clean Hooded Warbler&nbsp;off of Muddy Creek Road.&nbsp; Nice to still hear a lot of singing Hermit Thrushes and Ruby-crowned kinglets.&nbsp; Still some Yellow-bellied sapsuckers, brown creepers and golden-crowned kinglets in the neighborhood.&nbsp; Also flushed up a nice large great-horned owl and some&nbsp;wooducks&nbsp;checking out some tree cavities.&nbsp; Waiting for the rest to follow through.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </DIV>
<DIV>The SERC pond was also filled with a good amount of amphibians with calling American toads, Green frogs, Peepers, Southern Leopard Frogs and Pickeral frogs.&nbsp;&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Still having American Woodcock singing on Howard County.&nbsp; </DIV>
