The highlight of the afternoon was viewing over three hundred loons in the Gunpowder River from the boat launch on Hoadley Road. At least two were Red-throated Loons. Other highlights: At Harford Glen I had my first of the year Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and Great Egret. At Lakeside Ponds Rough-winged and Barn Swallows have arrived. At Edgewood Arsenal, a Blue-headed Vireo were with several Pine Warblers.
