On our way I paused to show Morgan (6) a Mockingbird flashing its wings. As the Mockingbird walked on the mulch six feet away it disturbed a Chuck-Will's-Widow (CWWI). The CWWI rocked as if to get it's feet in position to launch it from the ground. The Mockingbird flew away leaving me to convince my family that was a nightjar and not a piece of wood. It put up with us for another minute or so then flew twenty feet to a nearby tree.
