I think the butterflies out numbered the birds, though. Two Great Crested Flycatchers (actually I had one of those earlier in the day), two Red-eyed Vireos (one singing and one begging), Eastern Tailed Blues, Pearl Crescents, a Common Checkered Skipper and a female Falcate Orangetip. All the other orangetips I have seen this year were males. Yesterday I saw a few mid-sized dragonflies that remain unidentified. Also of interest to me are the Cedar Waxwings. They have been eating the apple blossoms almost as quickly as they open. The numbers of waxwings have increased from 6 three days ago to 32 today. I wonder if they are as good at pollinating as the insects! Good Birding!
