What a wonderful place and the migrants were wonderful. Saw birds I hardly get to see in MD up close and personal! Saw 253 different species and heard 26 additional for a trip total of 279. I also was lucky enough to get my 600th bird in Costa Rica and of all things it was the scarlet macaw!!!!!!! Couldn't have picked a better more beautiful bird if I had planned it. Saw 56 flying over in 10 minutes. What a treat. Saw 5 different resplendent quatzels. A female sitting on nest and 4 males in full plummage. If you have never birded Costa Rica, please consider it. It was wonderful and well worth the trip!
