Comments: cc: Marcia.Poling@dover.af.mil, pitts@pha.jhu.edu MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit A routine 5 minute walk from the overflow parking lot to the office (on the Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus in the middle of Baltimore City) took 30 minutes today. Who did I meet along the way? A RED-SHOULDERED HAWK dove down low, pursued by an AMERICAN CROW. Crawling on the tree trunks, a fat and sassy little male BLACK & WHITE WARBLER. High in the trees, a flash of bright orange ... The Firethroat. A BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER! And lots of courting and nesting residents: CARDINALS, TUFTED TITMOUSE, CAROLINA WREN, and CAROLINA CHICKADEE. It's amazing how something so routine can turn into such an exhilarating experience! Folks, I am *walking on air*! :-) :-) :-) - shireen -- Shireen Gonzaga Baltimore, MD whimbrel@home.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
