The Howard Bird Club held a Butterflies/Wildflowers through Binocs. =
trip Saturday morning. We walked along the Patapsco river focusing on =
the early spring wildflowers and the few chilly butterflies that braved =
the cool breeze. The FALCATE ORANGE TIP was our butterfly highlight. =
Dutchman's breeches were still found blooming along with a variety of =
other flora identified by the group. Walking Fern and seen quite well =
through Ralph Cullison's scope as it crept up the rocks.=20
The nesting WORM-EATING WARBLERS were singing on territory along =
with a YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER.=20
A side trip to the Camel's Den Cave was of interest to the group. =
Disney had just filmed there for the upcoming movie Tuck Everlasting. =
There was a PHOEBE nesting along the ledge of the cave and she put up =
with our poking around quite well. I wondered later how she had dealt =
with a film crew?=20
