No fish species have ever been confirmed on the island. Many have thought that none existed in the limited habitat. For the last two weeks I have noticed movement in the brownish waters of the fresh(?) water marshes. Today, armed with an aquatic dip net, I managed to confirm one species. I also observed at least one additional species, tentatively identified to genus, which eluded capture. I will make a return trip with a minnow seine to confirm the additional identification. *EASTERN MOSQUITOFISH (males & females) *KILLIFISH sp.
