(DeLorme A5, ADC Map 28, C-1) I birded Gilbert Run park for an hour this morning (4/30) and had some success with a few migrants. Highlights were: Two Black-throated Blue Warblers, male, and one Swainson's Thrush, who allowed me a leisurely study. Other "firsts" for the year (for me) were: E. Kingbird, Gray Catbird (2), and Scarlet Tanager. Wood Thrushes appear to be setting up territories, as I observed one squabble between two birds who almost flew into me as they disagreed with each other. Also nesting are E. Phoebe (inside a picnic pavilion) and Barn Swallows (in pavilions as well).
