Some new arrivals in my part of Talbot County included a Yellow-breasted
Chat on 4/30 along Gregory Road, and Northern Orioles several places,
including my yard near Tunis Mills. Regular yard birds this week have
included Bob Whites for the last five days, and a pair of Least Terns for
most of the week. A Yellow Warbler has been present each morning. This
evening (4/30) a female Hummingbird visited the feeder - previous visits
during the week had always been by the male Hummer.
A Greater Yellowlegs has shown up several times along Leeds Creek in
front of our house.

On Sunday, during a 3-hour gentle canoe trip in Tuckahoe State Park, 40
bird species were seen or heard. Highlights included Parula Warblers,
Yellow Warblers, Ovenbirds, Prothonotory Warblers, Scarlet and Summer
Tanagers, Eastern Kingbird, Great Crested Flycatcher, and some singing Rusty
Blackbirds. The canoe route followed the boundary between Caroline and
Queen Anne's Counties.
