I have been using Avisys for several years now and am really pleased with it. Entering your sightings is extremely easy, especially if you are entering more than one sighting per trip. When you enter the first bird's information, you can "freeze" some of the information (date, location, etc.) so you don't have to re-enter it for subsequent birds on that trip. Also, the search choices are great - you can search on common name or scientific name or even "jump" to a group of birds to peruse that group. It prints all kinds of reports - life lists, check lists for different areas, almost any combination of criteria you can think of. You can also tie Thayer's Birds of N.A. into Avisys, so that when you highlight a bird in Avisys, you can press a button and it will take you directly to that bird in Thayer's where you can view the bird or listen to its call, etc. I also have had no technical problems with the software. The company is also very responsive to questions through email. In short, Avisys is easy and great fun. I love it. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
