It provides clear, sharp images and is small and packable. I've hauled it over Europe and the US, including Alaska. I have a Bogen tripod with a Manfrotto (spelling?) head. I like the head very much, but not the tripod. Make sure you get the fliplock fasteners on your tripod and not the screw-in kind. They are slow, a pain to use, and often slip. You really have to crank down after you have used them a while. On that note, does anyone know if you can replace the screw-ins with the flip-lock fasteners without buying a whole new tripod?
