I've been using AviSys for about 5 years, and love it. Now up to version (at least) 4.57 . In answer to Jordan's questions, I can offer the following: 1) AviSys exports in either comma-delimited ASCII (which is readable by essentially all database programs), or in what AviSys calls "Sighting Record Stream File", which I have used to exchange data with my (birder) kids in far places, who also use AviSys. I don't think the Sighting Record Stream is generally useful except between different AviSys installations; 2) I don't know of a way to import data from any format other than the Sighting Record Stream, which must come from another AviSys installation. Maybe a call or e-mail to AviSys support or to Jerry Blinn would clarify this, but I can't find anything in the manual; 3) It's easy to enter for two or more people simultaneously. Just start the Sighting Record Stream before starting the first person. When finished with that person, just switch to the second person and do an import from the existing Sighting Record Stream. Jordan, you seems to live pretty close to me. I'd be happy to show you AviSys sometime (but I'll be on the Eastern Shore this weekend, and away Mon-Wed).
