Will keep looking. > There is the Pocket Bird Recorder from http://www.wildlife.co.uk/ (I haven't tried this one out), I just got through downloading Birder: http://www.palmgear.com./software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=38301720 010504194746&prodID=13996 (I only looked at this a few minutes), I also see there is Birding Checklist from the same site: http://www.palmgear.com./software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=38301720 010504194746&prodID=14318, and I have also tried the database approach with programs like jfile handbase and checklist. Every package I have looked at suffered from the same problem. With a palm only able to display just under 15 entries per page, it takes for ever to scroll down to enter a sighting. Doing keyword searches are equally as slow. These are nice for entering in species seen, after the fact, i.e. in the car between locations, but fall short when you want to count the number of each bird seen (where my memory is much shorter).
