I visited the mouth of Broad Creek in PG county a couple miles south of the Wilson Bridge. Least Sandpiper 30 Spotted Sandpiper 1 Solitary Sandpiper 1 Pectoral Sandpiper 1 DUNLIN 11 and a too-quick look at a flyby flock of 7 tringa-types in two sizes; at least one and perhaps both yellowlegs. So far this spring, Greaters are outnumbering Lessers 10 to 1. There are lots of birds here, but they like to hide in the vegetation. Two to 3 hours before high tide seems to give the best chance of seeing the birds that are present. And you'll be most happy if you like to identify shorebirds in flight or by call.
